“HNB Cup” Tour of Hainan 2015 Pre–match Press Conference
“HNB Cup” Tour of Hainan 2015 International Road Cycling Race will officially open on October 20th. At 2:30 this afternoon, the pre-match press conference was held at Xinglong HNA SPA & Golf Resort International Convention Center.
Vice Dean of Tour of Hainan Organizing Committee, General Director of the race, and Vice Director of Department of Culture, Radio, Television, Publication and Sports of Hainan Province Yang Yiguang, Director of Competition Department Wang Xiangzhou, Member of the organizing committee and member of the standing committee of Wanning Municipal Party Committee Wang Rulong, Director of the Operation Guarantee Department and Dean of Racing Center of Hainan Province Zhang Hua, and many journalists and reporters from multiple media attended the press conference.

At the press conference, Yang Yiguang introduced about the basic information, preparation work and features of the race:
Jointly hosted by General Administration of Sport of China and Hainan Provincial Government; organized by Chinese Cycling Association, Department of Culture Radio Television Publication and Sports of Hainan Province and Wanning Municipal Government; co-organized by Hainan Tourism Development Committee, Hainan Bank,Sanya Municipal Government, Chengmai County Government, Qiongzhong County Government, Hainan Provincial Administration Center of Sporting Events; operated by Tour of Hainan International Cycling Race Co., Ltd, the Tour of Hainan is an important sporting event leveled at 2.HC. It has been proposed and supported in an announcement of the State Council entitled “On promoting the Development of International Tourism on Hainan Island”.
The 10th Tour of Hainan is to be held from October 20th to 28th and divided into 9 stages with a total distance of 1487.6km covering all kinds of road racing include highway, provincial, county and country roads. The race route proceeds in a clockwise direction through all 18 cities and counties on the island. With total prize money of 350,000 USD, Tour of Hainan 2015 has 20 participant teams consisting of sixteen foreign teams and four domestic teams, among them there are three UCI professional teams, five continental professional teams, ten continental teams, one national team and one regional team.
Under the leadership of the organizing committee and with great support from Wanning Municipal Government, at present, all the preparation work has been finished, mainly including the following aspects:
1. Race Track Preparation. Department of Communication and Transportation of Hainan Province, and the related counties have investigated the race track in advance and repaired the broken roads. At present, all the road conditions meet the race requirement.
2. Race Security Work. Public Security Department of Hainan Province has made detailed work scheme according to the race requirements, and has sent multiple batch of staff to each city and county to conduct various security measures and regional race track control including anti-explosion security inspection, deployment of police officers, etc.
3. Hygiene and Disease Control. Hainan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission has set up separate work schemes for emergency aid, food safety guarantee and infectious disease control during race period, and has completed the hygiene and disease control, inspection, sterilization, disease control knowledge training, etc. for all the hotels where the athletes and work staff live.
4. Live Broadcasting. During the 10th anniversary of the Tour of Hainan, the organizing committee cooperates with CCTV and will live broadcast the whole stages of the race for the first time. To ensure the smooth live broadcasting of the race, CCTV sent a powerful technical and production team and used the most advanced equipment. Under the support of Hainan Broadcasting Group, Hainan Radio Management Bureau, and China Cable Television Network, the team has overcome many technical difficulties and completed all the preparation work for the live broadcast of the race.
5. Opening Ceremony. The opening ceremony of the race is planned by Comprehensive Channel of Hainan Broadcasting Group. The design of the main stage highlights the traditional culture and nationality features of Hainan Province. All the athletes of the 20 participant teams will debut at the stage at the ceremony. At present, each preparation work has been completed.

Main Features of Tour of Hainan 2015:
1. Excellent new participant teams and unprecedented race scales
4 excellent teams participate in Tour of Hainan for the first time; they are respectively USA Trek Factory Racing professional team, Italy NIPPO Vini Fantini continental professional team, Southeast Professional Cycling team and UAE SKYDIVE DUBAI PRO CYCLING continental team, which bring new vitality for the race. The strong teams like Astana Pro Team, Team Lampre-Merida, and the last year’s champion Team Marseille 13 KTM participate in the race again. At present, all the teams have arrived at Hainan.
2.Colorful activities for the 10th anniversary of Tour of Hainan
To establish a good atmosphere for the 10th anniversary of Tour of Hainan, the organizing committee has successively held various activities including the “10th anniversary•Cycling for Love” public welfare activity, “The Most Beautiful Moment” Tour of Hainan 10th Anniversary Photography Exhibition, and produced and published the series of TV programs titled “The Most Beautiful Cyclist of Tour of Hainan”. Through these activities, more people got the chance to learn about the charm of Tour of Hainan more closely and they also can experience the vitality of the cycling sorts. At the same time, the organizing committee also made a thorough review of the last 9 editions of Tour of Hainan to make the public know more about the race.
During the race, the organizing committee will still organize cycling activity and interactive activities at each stage. Including the cycling activity at Haikou station which will be jointly organized with Huaxia Bank and the EMBA Class of Hainan University, and 100 public bicycles will be donated to the citizens of Haikou City; The organizing committee will also cooperate with the famous domestic mobile phone manufacturer Xiaomi to initiate the “Looking for the Lead Out Man” activity. Millions of people have visited the site where the news was released in only two weeks, and tens of thousands people have registered to attend the activity. At present, the committee has selected excellent ones to participate the activity and they will also participate in the Hainan Island International Amateur Cycling League on behalf of Xiaomi. The Amateur Cycling League will also become a highlight of the race. On the last day of the race October 28th, an amateur cycling race will be held in Xinglong, Wanning City, where both amateur cyclists and cycling fans will compete together.
To promote cooperation and development of domestic cycling sports, the committee also held the first China (Hainan) International Cycling Sports Industry Investment Forum. We hope that the forum will promote more communications and cooperation in the industry.
3. Live broadcast of whole stages through TV and internet
The whole stages of Tour of Hainan 2015 will be live broadcasted on television, which is the first time in the history of China’s road cycling race. As we all know, the live broadcast of road cycling race is the most difficult among the broadcast of so many sports races.
