Qionghai

Located in the east of the Hainan Island, Qionghai is an attractive coastal city. It faces the South China Sea in the east, neighbors Tunchang, Qiongzhong County in the west, borders Wanning City in the south and is adjacent to Ding’an County and Wenchang City in the north.

With the beautiful mountains, clear waters, and rare scenery, Qionghai is a pearl on the east sea shore of Hainan Island. Wanquan River originated from Wuzhishan runs through Qionghai City, and it is the main sightseeing line in Qinghai, especially for its fantastic estuary sceneries composed of rivers, Green Island, harbor, sand dam and other landscapes, which is regarded as the most perfect virgin land of the natural estuary landscape in the world. In addition, there are also scenic spots and cultural landscapes like Baishi Ridge, Guantang Hot Spring Resort, Red Detachment of Women Memorial, Shazhou Island, Boao Yudai Beach and the "Boao Forum for Asia" International Conference Center, etc.

Wenchang

Located in the northeastern coast of Hainan Island, China, Wenchang is a beautiful city surrounded by sea in three sides, adjacent to Qiongzhou Strait in the north, facing the South China Sea in the east and south, adjacent to Haikou in the northwest, Ding’an County in the west, and Qionghai City in the southwest, covering a land area of 2,488 kilometers, and it has a coastline of 206.7 kilometers. With a total population of 560,000 people, it governs 17 towns. 

Located in the northern edge of tropical zone, Wenchang has a tropical marine monsoon climate, along with abundant rainfall, no intense heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. The Enjoying a convenient location, Wenchang City is 40 minute ride from the provincial capital Haikou City, Meilan International Airport, Guangdong-Hainan Railway Station as well as the permanent venue of the Boao Forum for Asia. Qinglan port is a national level open port and the second largest fishing port in Hainan Province.

Wanquan River

Wanquan River originates from the conflux of Wuzhishan Mountain and Limu Mountain, and it flows through Qionghai City and Bo’ao to the South China Sea. Green water, green river bank, and civilized villages, constitute beautiful poetic pictures.

Along the river there are several scenic sports with views of the most beautiful landscapes of rivers, mountains and beaches. Named as Chinese Amazon River, it is the mother river of Hainan.

Baishi Ridge

Located 12 kilometers southwest to Qionghai City, Baishi Ridge is at the side of Wanquan River, covering an area of about 10 km2. It is composed of Gongzi Ridge, Chenbu Ridge, Denggao Ridge, Sanniu Ridge, etc. The 328 meters Denggao Ridge is the highest peak of Baishi Ridge. Climbing along the 1,308 stone stairs to the top, you will see the beautiful sceneries and Wanquan River. Cableway is also available for your choice. Several reservoirs around the Baishi Ridge also improve its beauty.

Tonggu Ridge&Moon Bay

Tonggu Ridge is located 40 kilometers away from Longlou Town of Wenchang City. The Tongling Ridge National Nature Reserve is composed of various scenic spots including Qishui Bay, Moon Bay, Stone Park, Baoling River, Yunlong Bay, Da’ao Bay, etc. Situated at the eastern tip of Hainan Island, Tonggu Ridge stretches more than 20km with 18 high or low peaks.

Its main peak stands at 338 meters and is the highest peak in the east of Hainan. Attractions in the Tonggu Ridge include Wind-Shaken Stone, Fairy Cave, Nun Cave, Silver Snake Stone and Monk Garden.etc. The breathtaking views from the top of the ridge are well worth the trip, and the climb is pleasant, passing through areas of dense tropical rainforest. It is possible to drive to the top of the ridge, and many hikers enjoy walking up and riding down. 

Moon Bay is a scenic spot in the Tonggu Ridge National Nature Reserve, and it is the easternmost bay of Hainan Island. It is at the foot of Tonggu Ride, west to the South China Sea and north to the Baoling River.

Moon Bay is one of the most valuable tourism destinations. Looking down from the Tonggu Ridge, the artistic sight of Moon bay is very attractive.
