Chengmai

Located in the northwest of Island of Hainan and adjacent to provincial capital, Cheng Mai county has an area of 2,072 square kilometers and a population of 517,000, of which people engaging in agriculture accounts for 65％. The county has a jurisdiction of 11 towns, 176 village committees and 867 natural villages with Town of JinJiang as the county capital. Hainan has a history of 2119 years since the establishment of county administrative level among its 3 counterparts in which county administrative system has been earliest implemented.  By and large, the air quality in county of Cheng Mai is good, reaching the national first grade and the waters are affluent and clean exempt from pollution. It exceeds by a large margin the of 7/100,000 and 7.5/100,000, a standard of percentage of the survival 100-years-old senior citizens among the settling citizens which is stipulated by China and UN about longevity village.
