Changiiang

Changiiang County is in the northwest of Hainan Province, and includes 8 villages and towns. The county has a typical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 24.39ºC (75.7℉). It's always spring in Changiang, and the area gets tons of sunshine. Changiiang is known for producing excellent fruit, especially mangoes! The county seat of Changjiang is Shilu, which is known for the Shilu Iron Ore Mine. The population is largely made up of Li Minority people. The annual blooming of the kapok trees is not to be missed!

Qizi Bay

Qizi Bay has a wonderfully mild climate all year round that makes it an ideal vacation spot along the western coast of Hainan. The S-shaped bay extends for 20 km from eas to west There are many oddly shaped stones and reefs scattered along the shores. There are many craggy rocks protruding from the sea water. The local legend of the bay's origin is as follows: long, long ago, two immortals came down from the heavens and played a game of chess

(Chinese chess, of course). They were so engaged in their game that they forgot to have lunch. The local villagers, after seeing this, brought out food to offer them. After they finished the game and the food, they attempted to thank the villagers in person, but the villagers were nowhere to be found.

To show their gratitude, they threw all their chess pieces into the sea, which turned into reefs and stones thereby forever sheltering the village from winds and waves of the sea. Ever since then, the village has prospered and become a tourist spot, famous for its scenic charm.

Changjiang Cultural Park

Changjiang Cultural Park is located in Shilu Town in Changjiang County, covering 210 acres. In

2017, Changjiang Cultural Park was awarded as the Demonstration Base for Popularization of Social Science in Hainan".

Bawangling National Forest Park

Sprawling out over 100 km in the southeast ofChangjiang County, The 1,200-square-kilometer Bawangling National Forest Park is one of the best preserved tropical forests in Hainan.

Nature is firmly the first priority here, with origina forests preserved. It boasts over 1,000 species of trees and shrubs, including Antiaris toxicaria, the most poisonous tree in the world, and more than 180 wild animals.

The park is home to 7 species of animal that are protected at the national level, namely Hainan Eld's deer, Hainan black gibbons, clouded leopards, peacock pheasants, monitor lizards, Hainar Partridges, and pythons.
