Wanning Xinglong

Xinglong is a well-known hometown of overseas Chinese. Over the past 6 decades, Xinglong has witnessed the great integration of its local culture and those brought by overseas compatriots Gradually came "Xinglong Culture".

Coffee and tea are very two economic crops in Xing Long. Although the locally grown coffee is not well-known internationally, many travelers to the area still compare the coffee to the fine coffees of Brazil and Columbia. The most famous teas are Bitter Tea, Rice Tea and Vanilla Tea. The best place to buy them is in Xinglong Tropical Garden.

Xinglong Tropical Botanic Garden

Xinglong Tropical Botanic Garden is one place that can't be missed in Xinglong Hainan Island which is the biggest Tropical Botanic Garden covers around 340,000 sq. meters. It is not only a famous tourism place, but also the biggest tropical agriculture and flavor research institute of China. It really deserves the name of "tropical plant encyclopedia"with more than 1,200 kinds of plans growing inside. To name some, there are antiar tree, eucalypt, teak, spindle tree fir, bread tree, cocoa tree, pepper plants and vanilla etc. There is a big supermarket with products by Xinglong Tropica Botanical Garden at reasonable prices.

There is no public transportations to reach Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden, you have to take tuktuk from Xinglong town at around CNY10/way, and walking distance is around 3KM from Xinglong Town Center. Admission fee is CNY65/person.

Tourism highway

The tourism highway from Shimei Bay to Dahuajiao is the first of its kind in Hainan. It, of 32.4km, stretches all the way from Shimei Bay in the south to the north hrough Nanyan Bay, Shenzhou Peninsula, Vintage Sea and Baoding Bay. The Shime Bay, composed of two crescent-like bays, enjoys abundant natural resources and presents a tropical-style picture of well-protected sea, mountain, beach sand, sland, coconut forests and streams. Along the coast is a vatica forest stretching over 10km. This coastal vatica forest has been out under government protection since Qing Dynasty and now is the largest one in the world. It is believed to enjoy an over-4,000-year history.

Xinglong National Green Road

Xinglong National Green Road is one of the important sites in Wanning City. It was built at the end of 2012. It connects the original scenic spots such as Xinglong Tropical Garden, Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden, but also the exotic overseas Chinese villages.
